First Person Stapler - 0.06

Alright, this post will have to be both the announcement for the game and the first update log because I didn't make an official announcement. So, let's address what the game is first.

First Person Stapler is a target shooter similar to Race to the Finish from Super Smash Melee and the CQB course from Call of Duty 4, all played out by a bored telecom worker. Basically, a timed game of hide and seek. The player needs to make their way to the exit before the clock runs out and they need to shoot as many targets as possible on their way. Getting a score of 150 in a level will unlock the next mission. Shooting clocks will give you more time to complete the level. Headshots give you more points. So on and so forth. I really need to pare down this elevator pitch.

There's a demo up of the first two levels. Check it out!

Now onto the change log.

  • A very basic tutorial has been added to explain how the game is played. This can be found on the main menu.
  • The Warehouse level was added, bringing the total number up to 7 playable for 0.06.
  • Animations were added to the staplers so it now properly looks like it's firing.
  • Visual effects have been added to the targets when they get shot.
  • Auto-reloading was added to the dual staplers and the construction stapler. So, you don't need to manually reload when they run out anymore.
  • Shooting radios scattered around the maps now changes the song being played during the mission.
  • Computers now have mass and physics and can be kicked off desks because why not.
  • Targets can now be destroyed by kicks.
  • Chairs now have better physics. So, they are more fun to kick around.
  • Targets can now be destroyed by flying chairs.

Check out the game as it is. More updates are on the way. If you have suggestions, complaints, or anything in between, join the Discord and let me know.
